ABOUT SOFTWARE R US CLUB

Hello. My name is Jim Kelley.

I am the owner of The Kelson Company, LLC located in South Carolina. I retired at the end of 2004 after spending 38 years of my career with a $50million Wholesale Distributor as Vice President of Administration. During my tenure, I was always responsible for the Data Processing or IT division. I have been witness to the ever changing world of technology during that time, having grown thru the IBM offerings of many, many types of Hardware. I learned during all this time that having the best and latest version of an IBM piece of hardware, although important, was not the ultimate factor in the processing of data.

The most important piece of the puzzle is SOFTWARE. I equated it during these times with the following thought, “HARDWARE MAKES ONE EFFECTIVE, BUT SOFTWARE MAKES ONE EFFICIENT.

I have migrated thru the hardware in the PC World as well. My son worked for IBM when they introduced the Personal Computer. He and I split the cost of this initial PC and the total amount of the equipment was around $3300.00. Today, for that price, you could purchase a PC that can run very large companies. However, during that identical time span, I saw Software offerings that made individuals and companies become more efficient in the tasks they were required to do. Bill Gates had that vision long ago. He made the decision to put his efforts into what made the PC run more efficiently and left the PC in the hands of IBM, Apple, HP, Dell and many others to produce and he was so good at it, that ultimately they had to produce a box that would run his software because users had already determined that his software made them more productive. Bill Gates and Microsoft answered the question as to which was more important—

Hardware or Software.

After my retirement and since I had a passion for technology, I elected to enter the Internet Marketing Arena with what I knew was the best product available---Software. So, that is how Software R Us Club was born. Other than the reasons mentioned above, I wanted to market a product that I was sure could help people realize their dreams and ambitions.

On the personal front, I have been happily married for 48 years and have 6 children (my sons and daughters-in-law count as children) and they have provided me with 8 wonderful grandchildren. All of them have provided me with the drive and ambition to succeed in anything I undertook.

I am also a Rotarian of many years. In Rotary, we have the 4 way test and this is what I try to base all of my decisions. Here is the 4 way test:

1) Is it the truth?

2) Is it Fair to all concerned?

3) Will it build Good Will and Better Friendships?

4) Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

If all of those questions are answered Yes, then the decision is made. That is my philosophy and how I operate this business. I just wanted you to know where I am coming from and how I view things in the operation of my endeavors.
